Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC P0033-P0035 is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
Refer to: DTC P0033-P0035
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- If any of the DTCs are set
- Determine the current vehicle testing altitude.
- Verify the scan tool parameter: BARO = The value should be within the range listed in the table:
Altitude Versus Barometric Pressure
- If not in the specified range
Refer to: DTC P2228-P2230 or P227C-P227E
- Go to next step: If in the specified range
- If not in the specified range
- Verify the following parameters are within 3 kPa (0.4 PSI) of each other:
- Boost Pressure Sensor
- BARO
- If not within 3 kPa (0.4 PSI) of each other
Refer to: DTC P0236, P0237, or P0238
- Go to next step: If within 3 kPa (0.4 PSI) of each other
- Perform the scan tool control function: Turbocharger Bypass Solenoid Valve - On & Off
Verify a click can be heard or felt at the following component(s) when the scan tool control function was commanded: Q40 Turbocharger Bypass Solenoid Valve
- If a click cannot be heard or felt
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If a click can be heard or felt
- If a click cannot be heard or felt
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets

- Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
