Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Verify DTC P0033-P0035 is not set.
    • Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set 
  3. Determine the current vehicle testing altitude.
  4. Verify the scan tool parameter: BARO = The value should be within the range listed in the table:

    Altitude Versus Barometric Pressure

    • Go to next step: If in the specified range 
  5. Verify the following parameters are within 3 kPa (0.4 PSI) of each other:
    • Boost Pressure Sensor
    • BARO
    • Go to next step: If within 3 kPa (0.4 PSI) of each other 
  6. Perform the scan tool control function: Turbocharger Bypass Solenoid Valve - On & Off

    Verify a click can be heard or felt at the following component(s) when the scan tool control function was commanded: Q40 Turbocharger Bypass Solenoid Valve

    • If a click cannot be heard or felt 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If a click can be heard or felt 
  7. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

    Verify the DTC does not set.

    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set 
  8. All OK.
