Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC P146D, P146E, P146F is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
Refer to: DTC P146D-P146F
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- If any of the DTCs are set
- Verify DTC U111E, U1348 is not set.
- If DTC U111E is set and no other DTCs are set
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- If DTC U111E, U1348 is set and other DTCs are set
Refer to: DTC U1340-U135F
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- If DTC U111E is set and no other DTCs are set
- Verify DTC P1467, P1468, P1469, P146A is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
Replace the component: G58 Evaporative Emission Purge Pump
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- If any of the DTCs are set
- Verify the scan tool parameter: EVAP Purge Pump Supply Voltage Status = OK
- If not the specified state
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- If not the specified state
- Verify the scan tool parameter: EVAP Purge Pump Overtemperature = No
- If not the specified state
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Verify the component location is free of debris, clutter or any obstruction that may reduce airflow which could cause an overheat condition: G58 Evaporative Emission Purge Pump
- If a condition exists - Repair or replace as necessary
- If no condition exists - Replace the component: G58 Evaporative Emission Purge Pump
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- Perform the scan tool control function: EVAP Purge Pump - On
Verify a condition does not exist with the component: G58 Evaporative Emission Purge Pump - Turns Off
Perform the action while monitoring the component:
- Wiggle the harness and connector: G58 Evaporative Emission Purge Pump
- Wiggle the harness and connector: K20 Engine Control Module
- If a condition exists
Repair as necessary - Wiring/Terminal(s)/Electrical Connector(s)
- Go to next step: If no condition exists
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets

- Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
