Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Verify DTC P1000 or U18A2 is not set.
    • Go to next step: If DTC P1000 or U18A2 is not set 
  3. Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems - Off
  4. NOTE:

    The battery voltage should stabilize after a few minutes of turning the ignition/vehicle Off.

  5. Test for 12.4 to 12.8 V between the test points: Battery Positive Post & Battery Negative Post
    • Go to next step: If between 12.4 and 12.8 V 
  6. Engine - Running - For greater than 15 s
  7. Accessories - Off
  8. Test for 13.4 to 15 V between the test points: Battery Positive Post & Battery Negative Post
    • Go to next step: If between 13.4 and 15 V 
  9. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

    Verify the DTC does not set.

    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set 
  10. All OK.
