Circuit/System Verification

  1. Engine - Running
  2. Verify DTC P0325, P0327, P0328, P0330, P0332, P0333, P06B6, P06B7 is not set.
    • If only DTC P0325, P0327, P0328, P0330, P0332, P0333 is set 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • If only DTC P06B6, P06B7 is set 

      Replace the component: K20 Engine Control Module

    • Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set 
  3. Verify the scan tool parameter: Cylinder 1 - 4 Knock Detected = No

    Perform the action while monitoring the parameter:

    • Wiggle the harness and connector: B68A Knock Sensor 1 & B68B Knock Sensor 2
    • Wiggle the harness and connector: K20 Engine Control Module
    • If not the specified state 

      Repair as necessary - Wiring/Terminal(s)/Electrical Connector(s)

    • Go to next step: If the specified state 
  4. Verify DTC P0324, P0326, P0331 is not set.
    • If the DTC is set 
    1. Verify a condition does not exist with the component: B68 Knock Sensor
      • Incorrect installation - Refer to: Fastener Specifications
      • Interference with other components or objects - Bracket/Engine Wiring Harness/Hoses/Lines
      • Visible Damage
      • If a condition exists - Repair or replace as necessary
      • Go to next step: If no condition exists
    2. Verify the condition did not cause the DTC to set:
      • Accessory drive bracket - Loose/Visible Damage
      • Drive Belt & Belt Driven Device - Loose/Visible Damage
      • Engine - Mechanical Condition - Refer to: Symptoms - Engine Mechanical
      • Fuel - Contaminated/Poor Quality
      • If a condition exists - Repair or replace as necessary
      • If all conditions test normal - Test or replace the component: B68 Knock Sensor
    • Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set 
  5. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

    Verify the DTC does not set.

    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set 
  6. All OK.
