Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Verify DTC P0016, P0017, P0018, P0019, P0090, P0091, P0092, P00C8, P00C9, P00CA, P0111, P0112, P0113, P0116, P0117, P0118, P0128, P0192, P0193, P0335, P0336, P0340, P0341, P0345, P0346, P0365, P0366, P0390, P0391, P0628, P163A is not set.
    • Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set 
  3. Engine - Idling
  4. Verify the scan tool parameter: Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor = 1.9 to 5.0 MPa (276 to 725 PSI)
    • If not between 1.9 and 5.0 MPa (276 and 725 PSI) 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If between 1.9 and 5.0 MPa (276 and 725 PSI) 
  5. Perform the scan tool control function: Fuel Rail Pressure - Increase & Decrease

    Verify the scan tool parameter: Fuel Rail Pressure = The value should change with each command.

    • If the value does not change 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the value changes 
  6. Perform the following action: Clear the DTCs.
    7. WARNING:

    Road test a vehicle under safe conditions and while obeying all traffic laws. Do not attempt any maneuvers that could jeopardize vehicle control. Failure to adhere to these precautions could lead to serious personal injury and vehicle damage.

  7. Accelerate the vehicle with wide open throttle.

    Verify DTC P0089, P00C6, P228C, P228D, P2C1E, P2C1F, P2C20 is not set.

    • If DTC P0089, P00C6, P228C, P228D, P2C1E, P2C1F, P2C20 is set 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If DTC P0089, P00C6, P228C, P228D, P2C1E, P2C1F, P2C20 is not set 
  8. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

    Verify the DTC does not set.

    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set 
  9. All OK.
