Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify there are no related DTCs set in the following system:
- 5 V Reference Circuit
- B23 Camshaft Position Sensor
- B26 Crankshaft Position Sensor
- M129 Intake Camshaft Profile Actuator - Circuit
- M130 Exhaust Camshaft Profile Actuator - Circuit
- If a related DTC is set
- Go to next step: If a related DTC is not set
- Engine - Running - Cold Start-Up
- Verify the scan tool parameter:
- Exhaust Camshaft Profile Actuator Position Sensor 1 = 84 to 85%
- Exhaust Camshaft Profile Actuator Position Sensor 2 = 84 to 85%
- Intake Camshaft Profile Actuator Position Sensor 1-4 = 84 to 85%
- {P037C} Camshaft Profile Actuator System Commanded State = Commanded state does not match the actual state
- If not in the specified range
Replace the appropriate component:
- M129 Intake Camshaft Profile Actuator
- M130 Exhaust Camshaft Profile Actuator
- Go to next step: If in the specified range
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Replace the appropriate component:
- M129 Intake Camshaft Profile Actuator
- M130 Exhaust Camshaft Profile Actuator
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
