Installation Procedure

- Clean all sealing surfaces.
- Spray Low LOC brake cleaner on the LCE sealing surface and wipe off with a clean shop towel. Avoided touching the surface after cleaning and air dry with shop air. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Wipe the positive crankcase oil separator cover sealing surface with the Adhesion Plastic Pan Primer Promoter Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers with a clean shop towel. Allow the cleaner to flash / evaporate. Wipe off the sealing surfaces with a lint free cloth. Do not touch the sealing surface after cleaning to avoid inducing containment debris to the bonding surface area.
- Ensure proper use of room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. Use of Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) and Anaerobic Sealant
- NOTE:
- The positive crankcase oil separator cover sealing surface must be free of contamination prior to applying the sealer.
- Install and align the positive crankcase oil separator cover to engine block within 10 minutes of applying the sealer.
- The positive crankcase oil separator cover must be fastened to final torque specification within 15 minutes of applying the sealer.
Apply approximately a 4 mm (0.16 in) thick bead of sealant (1) to the positive crankcase oil separator cover. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Install EN-52483 Guide Pin in two locations to keep the positive crankcase oil separator cover square.
Positive Crankcase Ventilation Oil Separator Cover (1) - Install
- Check that the pin of the positive crankcase ventilation oil separator cover sits correct in the right hole.

Positive Crankcase Ventilation Oil Separator Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten in sequence [11x] 8.5 N.m (75 lb in)
{If equipped} Engine Coolant Heater Cord (1) @ Engine Coolant Heater (2) - Install
- Battery Positive Cable Retainer @ Positive Crankcase Ventilation Oil Separator Cover - Install
Starter (1) - Install - Starter Replacement (LSY)
Engine Coolant Flow Control Valve (1) - Install - Engine Coolant Flow Control Valve Replacement
