Removal Procedure

  1. Fig 1: Identifying Oil Pan Drain Plug, Seal And Oil Filter

    Drain the engine oil. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

    Automatic Transmission Flex Plate (1) - Remove - Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Replacement 

  3. Crankshaft Position Sensor Inner Exciter Ring - Remove - Crankshaft Position Sensor Inner Exciter Ring Replacement

    Crankshaft Position Sensor (2) - Remove - Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement

    Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing Bolt (1) - Remove [13x]

  6. NOTE:

    It is likely you will bend the housing during removal. Use care to not damage the engine block.

  7. Loosen the crankshaft rear oil seal housing carefully from the engine block, use a suitable tool to pry all the way around.
  8. Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing (2) - Remove and DISCARD
