- NOTE:
The following steps will remove the slack in the timing chain prior to final torque to the camshaft sprocket bolts.
Check that the EN-52461-1 Holder (1) sits correctly in the hole of the camshaft sprocket.
- Rotate the EN-52461-1 Holder counter-clockwise (1).
- While holding the EN-52461-1 Holder (1) in the counter-clockwise position, tighten the bolt (2) 6 N.m (53 lb in) just enough to hold the EN-52461-1 Holder in place.
- CAUTION:
Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .
Camshaft Sprocket Bolt (1) @ Intake Camshaft - Tighten
- First Pass: 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
- Final Pass: 28 degrees using the EN-45059 Angle Meter
Check that the EN-52461-1 Holder (4) sits correctly in the hole of the exhaust camshaft sprocket.
- Rotate the EN-52461-1 Holder (4) counter-clockwise.
- While holding the EN-52461-1 Holder (4) in the counter-clockwise position, tighten the bolt (3) 6 N.m (53 lb in) just enough to hold the EN-52461-1 Holder (4) in place.
