Tamper Proof Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve - Fresh Air: Do not attempt to remove the PCV valve by prying or twisting the PCV valve to separate the valve from the mating cover or component. Prying or twisting the PCV valve will result in fracture of one or more valve retention tabs which can fall into the engine resulting in internal engine damage. Remove the PCV valve mating cover or component from the engine before attempting to remove the PCV valve.

    NOTE:

Use care around the positive crankcase ventilation valve to ensure you do not break the 3 tabs that hold it to the camshaft carrier.
