Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement - Engine Coolant Flow Control Valve

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LCV, LGX) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LCV, LGX) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LSY) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LSY) 
  2. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Electrical Connector - Disconnect
  3. Charge Air Cooler Outlet Hose @ Throttle Body - Reposition - Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Replacement
1 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Retainer
2 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
NOTE:

Some coolant will be present in the engine coolant flow control valve.

  1. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LCV, LGX) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LCV, LGX) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LSY) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LSY) 
  2. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
