Hood Adjustment

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

  1. Loosen the 4 hood hinge nuts.
  2. Adjust the hood in order to obtain an even gap on both sides between the hood and the fenders, headlamps and the front bumper fascia.
  3. Loosen and adjust the hood primary and secondary latch and the hood bumpers as necessary to obtain the adjustment.

Adjustment Procedure

  • Hood to front fender (a) 4.0 mm ±.75 mm (0.16 in ± 0.03 in)
  • Hood to daytime running lamp (b) 3.0 mm ± 1 mm (0.12 in ± 0.04 in)
  • Hood to front upper grille (c) 4.0 mm ±.1.5 mm (0.16 in ± 0.06 in)

Tighten 
22 N.m (16 lb ft)
