Installation Procedure
Transmission Control (2) - Install
- Transmission Control Fastener (1) - Install and tighten [4x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Connect the transmission control electrical connectors.
- Connect the range selector lever cable. Automatic Transmission Range Selector Lever Cable Replacement
- Install the front floor console trim plate. Front Floor Console Upper Panel Replacement
- Check to ensure that all available shift controls operate properly.
- Ensure the shifter cannot be shifted out of the Park position unless the brake is applied.
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
WARNING:
After installing the transmission range selector shift cable, pull up and push down on ALL connections to verify that the connections are fully seated and properly engaged. Failure to perform this task can result in the vehicle not being able to shift into PARK causing potential vehicle damage and bodily injury.
WARNING:
After installing the transmission range selector shift cable, ensure the shifter cannot be shifted out of the Park position unless the brake is applied. Failure to perform this task can result in the shifter moving out of the Park position unintentionally, causing potential vehicle damage and bodily injury.
