Installation Procedure

Install a NEW intake manifold gasket. (1)
- Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor Replacement - Install
- NOTE:
When installing the intake manifold, ensure that the gasket seal is securely installed prior to positioning the intake manifold.
Install the intake manifold. (2)
- Start all bolts by hand before tightening. (1)
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Tighten the intake manifold bolts in the sequence shown.
Tighten
- First Pass: 12 N.m (106 lb in)
- Final Pass: 12 N.m (106 lb in)
Position the intake manifold cover (2) over the intake manifold then engage the clips (1) to secure the cover.
- Fuel Pump Replacement - Install
- Throttle Body Assembly Replacement - Install
Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve (1) - Install - Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement
- Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube@Air Cleaner Outlet Duct - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe Replacement (LTG) - Install
- Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose Replacement (LTG) , or Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose Replacement (LTG Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe to Radiator Surge Tank) - Install
- Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe Replacement (LTG) - Install
- Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube Replacement - Install
- Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (At Tank) , or Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (Engine to Tank) - Install
- Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Install
NOTE:
If tape has been installed to ease intake manifold removal, remove the tape.
