Removal Procedure

- Turn the ignition switch to the On position, engine Off.
- Apply the parking brake.
- Place the transmission control in the Neutral position.
- Turn the ignition switch to the Off position.
Using a trim tool, release the front retainer (1) from the front floor console.
- Release the rear locating tab (2) from the front floor console.
- Disconnect the park brake switch electrical connector.
- With a firm grip on the transmission control lever knob (3), slightly twist the transmission control lever knob side to side, then firmly pull up on the transmission control lever knob. This will unseat the locking circlip.
