Circuit/System Testing

NOTE:
Perform Circuit/System Verification before Circuit/System Testing.
- Identify how to disable high voltage.
- Identify how to test for the presence of high voltage.
- Identify condition under which high voltage is always present and personal protection equipment (PPE) and proper procedures must be followed.
- Vehicle OFF, disable the high voltage at the G1 A/C Compressor. Refer to High Voltage Disabling .
- Disconnect the X10 harness connector at the A4 Hybrid/EV Battery Pack and the X2 harness connector at the G1 A/C Compressor. Refer to High Voltage Connectors .
- Verify the inline harness connector X166 is properly connected.
- Test for less than 2 Ω end to end between the 300-Volt Positive and Negative Cable circuit terminals listed below:
- A4 Hybrid/EV Battery Pack harness connector terminal 3 X10 and G1 A/C Compressor harness connector terminal A X2.
- A4 Hybrid/EV Battery Pack harness connector terminal 1 X10 and G1 A/C Compressor harness connector terminal B X2.
- If 2 Ω or greater
Replace the 300-Volt Positive and Negative Cable.
- Go to next step: If less than 2 Ω
- Replace the G1 A/C Compressor.
- Operate the vehicle within the conditions for running the DTC. Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Replace the A28 Hybrid/EV Battery Contactor Assembly.
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.

Always perform the High Voltage Disabling procedure prior to servicing any High Voltage component or connection. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and proper procedures must be followed.
The High Voltage Disabling procedure will perform the following tasks:
