Circuit/System Verification

Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
Perform the scan tool control function:Rear Defogger - ON & OFF
OFF
Verify the component turns On and Off:E18 Rear Defogger Grid = - ON/OFF
- If the component does not turn On and Off
  Refer to: Circuit/System Testing Rear Window Defogger Malfunction
- Go to next step: If the component turns On and Off
Perform the scan tool control function:Rear Defogger - ON & OFF
OFF
Verify the component works as specified:E17D Outside Rearview Mirror Glass - DriverorE17P Outside Rearview Mirror Glass - Passenger - Warm-Up
- If the component does not work as specified
  Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the component works as specified
All OK.
