Circuit/System Description

The hybrid/EV battery interface control modules perform a cell overvoltage SENSE CIRCUIT test, once, every power up cycle. When run/crank input signal transitions high and after a calibrated delay, the hybrid/EV battery interface control module informs the hybrid/EV powertrain control module 2, via serial data communication bus that it is about to run the diagnostics on the overvoltage sense circuit. The hybrid/EV battery interface control modules then proceed to command, via internal serial data, each of its internal sense circuits to run the check on its output.
