Removal Procedure

Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel (2) - Remove - Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Left Side (With HP4)
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Without KL9) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With KL9)
Battery Distribution Fuse Block Cover (1) - Remove
Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (1) - Loosen
- Battery Distribution Fuse Block (2) - Reposition away
Battery Hold Down Retainer Nut (1) - Remove
- Battery Hold Down Retainer (2) - Remove
- Battery Hold Down Bolt (3) - Remove
- Battery Hold Down Retainer (4) - Remove
- Battery Vent Hose (5) - Disconnect
- Battery (6) - Remove
NOTE:
In certain circumstances, replacement or disconnection of the 12V battery may result in a charging system concern upon start up. If a charging concern is present without DTCs, refer to DC Power Conversion Test , to verify that high voltage is available and to then diagnose the charging system.
