Installation Procedure

If you are replacing the battery with a serviced NEW battery, detach the vent plug (1), that comes with the positive post cover.
Install the vent plug (1), opposite side of the battery vent hose (2).
Battery (6) - Install
- Battery Hold Down Retainer (2) - Install
- Battery Hold Down Retainer Nut (1) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Battery Hold Down Retainer (4) - Install
- Battery Hold Down Bolt (3) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
- Battery Vent Hose (5) - Connect
Battery Distribution Fuse Block (2) - Install
- Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (1) - tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
Battery Distribution Fuse Block Cover (1) - Install
- Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Without KL9) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With KL9)
Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel (2) - Install - Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Left Side (With HP4)
