Preliminary Procedure It is only necessary to lower the headliner. Only do those steps in the headliner replacement procedure that will lower the headliner enough to gain access to the part. Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (With Sunroof)Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Without Sunroof)
1	High Mount Stop Lamp Nut [4x] CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . CAUTION: This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component. Procedure DISCARD the nuts. Install the NEW nuts and tighten in the proper sequence. Tighten 4.7 N.m (42 lb in)
2	High Mount Stop Lamp Procedure Disconnect the electrical connector. Release the retaining tab.

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

CAUTION:

This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.

Procedure

DISCARD the nuts.
Install the NEW nuts and tighten in the proper sequence.

Tighten
4.7 N.m (42 lb in)

Procedure

Disconnect the electrical connector.
Release the retaining tab.
