Removal Procedure

- Identify how to disable high voltage.
- Identify how to test for the presence of high voltage.
- Identify condition under which high voltage is always present and personal protection equipment (PPE) and proper procedures must be followed.
- Set the parking brake.

- Disable the high voltage system and disconnect the A4 Hybrid/EV Battery Pack high voltage harness connector at the T6 Power Inverter Module. High Voltage Disabling .

- Remove the range selector lever cable bracket. Range Selector Lever Cable Bracket Replacement
Remove the primary shield (3) from the transmission.
Remove the secondary shield (2) from the transmission.
Disconnect and reposition the radiator surge tank overflow hose (1).
- Disconnect and reposition the transmission electrical connector (2).
- Disconnect and reposition the transmission high voltage electrical connectors (3).

Drive Motor Battery Positive and Negative Cable Connector Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
- Drive Motor Battery Positive and Negative Cable Connector (2) - Remove
Drive Motor Power Inverter Module Cover Removal (2) - Remove

Always perform the High Voltage Disabling procedure prior to servicing any High Voltage component or connection. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and proper procedures must be followed.
The High Voltage Disabling procedure will perform the following tasks:
