1	Front Differential Carrier Procedure Use a dial or beam torque wrench with DT-49938 Differential Rotating Tool to measure turning torque. The rotational torque should be below 7.45 N.m (65.94 lb in) If the turning torque is greater than specifications, inspect and repair for one of the following conditions: The front differential carrier baffle installation is incorrect and the baffle is rubbing on the drive link chain, refer to Front Differential Carrier Baffle Installation . The differential carrier sun gear thrust bearing is installed upside down or misaligned, refer to Front Differential Carrier Installation . Special Tools DT-49938 Differential Rotating Tool For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Procedure

Use a dial or beam torque wrench with DT-49938 Differential Rotating Tool to measure turning torque.
The rotational torque should be below 7.45 N.m (65.94 lb in)
If the turning torque is greater than specifications, inspect and repair for one of the following conditions:
- The front differential carrier baffle installation is incorrect and the baffle is rubbing on the drive link chain, refer to Front Differential Carrier Baffle Installation .
- The differential carrier sun gear thrust bearing is installed upside down or misaligned, refer to Front Differential Carrier Installation .
