Circuit/System Description

The transmission control solenoids in this transmission require unique electrical current vs. oil pressure performance matching data values in order to function at maximum performance and efficiency. This data is programmed and stored in the Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module 1. The hybrid/EV powertrain control module 1 is part of the power inverter module, often referred to as the drive motor generator power inverter module, and is not serviced separately. When a transmission assembly, transmission line pressure control solenoid, or power inverter module is replaced, the power inverter module must be programmed with the new or existing solenoid performance data.
