Circuit/System Verification

Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
Verify the scan tool parameter:Passenger Presence Module Seat Occupancy Status = Empty
- If not the specified state
1. Inspect for aftermarket devices which may affect the operation of the system.
  - If a condition exists
    Remove
  - Go to next step: If no conditions exist
2. Clear the DTCs.
3. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC.
4. Verify DTC B0081 is not set.
  - If the DTC sets
    Replace the component:K85 Passenger Presence Module
  - Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
5. All OK.
- Go to next step: If the specified state
Verify DTC is not set:B0081 3A @ K36 Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module
- If the DTC is set
  Replace the component:K85 Passenger Presence Module
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
Verify DTC is not set:
- B0081 11 @ K85 Passenger Presence Module
- B0081 4B @ K85 Passenger Presence Module
- If the DTC is set
  Refer to:Passenger Presence System Rezeroing
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
Verify DTC is not set:B0081 5A @ K85 Passenger Presence Module
- If the DTC is set
1. Inspect the electrical connectors and the ground circuits of the component for poor connections.
2. Clear the DTCs.
3. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC.
4. Verify DTC is not set:B0081 5A @ K85 Passenger Presence Module
  - If the DTC is set
    Replace the component:K85 Passenger Presence Module
  - Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
5. All OK.
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
