Removal Procedure

- Fully release the parking brake.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- NOTE:
Pull downward on the parking brake front cable to slacken the parking brake rear cable.
Parking Brake CableFront Cable Connector (1) - Disconnect
Parking Brake CableRetainer (1) - Release
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the left front side door sill garnish molding. - Front Side Door Sill Garnish Molding Replacement
- Position aside the left side front floor panel carpet.
Parking Brake Lever Cable Grommet (1) - Release
- Parking Brake Indicator SwitchElectrical Connector - Disconnect
Parking Brake Lever Bolt (1) - Remove
Release the wiring harness retainer at the parking brake lever assembly and position aside the wiring harness.
- Parking Brake Lever Nut (1) - Remove [2x]
- Feed the parking brake front cable through the front floor pass through and remove the front cable and park brake lever assembly from the vehicle.
