Installation Procedure

- Feed the parking brake front cable through the front floor pass through and install the front cable and park brake lever assembly to the vehicle.
- CAUTION:
Parking Brake Lever Nut (1) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft) [2x]
- Reposition the wiring harness to the parking brake lever assembly and secure the retainer.
Parking Brake Lever Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Parking Brake Indicator SwitchElectrical Connector - Connect
Parking Brake Lever Cable Grommet (1) - Secure
- Position the left side front floor panel carpet to the front floor panel.
- Install the left front side door sill garnish molding. - Front Side Door Sill Garnish Molding Replacement
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
Parking Brake CableRetainer (1) - Secure
Parking Brake CableFront Cable Connector (1) - Connect
- Lower the vehicle.
Remove the parking brake cable tension set pin (1).
- Fully apply and release the parking brake three times to set the parking brake cable tension.
- Inspect the parking brake for proper operation.
