Installation Procedure

- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Install the starter. (3)
- Starter Mounting Nut (2) - Tighten 58 N.m (43 lb ft).
- Starter Mounting Bolt (1) - Tighten 58 N.m (43 lb ft)
Install the starter bracket. (3)
- Starter Bracket Bolt (1) Tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
- Starter Bracket Bolt (2) Tighten 58 N.m (43 lb ft)
- NOTE:
Make sure the battery positive cable terminal is fully seated before tightening fastener.
Battery Positive Cable (2) - Install
- Battery Positive Cable Nut (1) @ Starter Solenoid - Install and tighten 13 N.m (115 lb in)
Connect the electrical connector. (2)
- Lower the vehicle.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Without KL9) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With KL9) .
