Installation Procedure

    Install the generator. (4)

    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Generator Mounting Stud (1) Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  3. Generator Bolt (3) Install and tighten [2X] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
  4. Generator Nut (2) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
  5. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    Battery Positive Cable (2) - Install

  7. Battery Positive Cable Nut (3) @ Generator - Install and tighten 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
  8. Protective Cap (4) - Install
  9. Electrical Connector (1) - Connect
  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Water Pump, Air Conditioning Compressor, and Generator Belt Replacement - Install
  12. Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement - Install
  13. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Without KL9) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With KL9) .
