Removal Procedure

Battery Negative Cable Terminal Cover (1) - Remove
- Battery Negative Cable Nut (2) @ Battery Sensor - Remove
- Battery Negative Cable (3) - Remove
Retainer (1) - Disengage [2x]
Battery Negative Cable Ground Nut (1) @ Frame Rail - Remove
- Battery Negative Cable (2) - Remove
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
Battery Negative Cable Ground Bolt (3) @ Transmission - Remove
- Battery Negative Cable (1) - Remove
- Retainer (2) - Disengage
WARNING:
Before servicing any electrical component, the ignition key must be in the OFF or LOCK position and all electrical loads must be OFF, unless instructed otherwise in these procedures. If a tool or equipment could easily come in contact with a live exposed electrical terminal, also disconnect the negative battery cable. Failure to follow these precautions may cause personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.
