Circuit/System Verification

Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
Verify there are no DTCs set related to the following system/component:Stop/Start System
- If a related DTC is set
  Refer to:Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle
- Go to next step: If a related DTC is not set
Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems - Off

NOTE:

The battery voltage should stabilize after a few minutes of turning the ignition/vehicle Off.

Test for 12.4 to 12.8 V between the test points:Battery Positive Post & Battery Negative Post
- If not between 12.4 and 12.8 V
  Refer to:Battery Inspection/Test
- Go to next step: If between 12.4 and 12.8 V
Verify the scan tool parameter:
- Battery Sensor Module Battery State Information = Available
- Battery Sensor Module Reset Occurred - Using Estimated State of Charge = No
- If not the specified state
1. Refer to:Battery Sensor Module Learn
2. Road Test - Vehicle
  Verify the correct operation:Stop/Start System
  - If a condition exists
    Refer to:Stop/Start Disable, Inhibit, and Restart Reasons
  - Go to next step: If no condition exists
3. All OK.
- Go to next step: If the specified state
Road Test - Vehicle
Verify the correct operation:Stop/Start System
- If the component/system does not operate correctly
  Refer to:Stop/Start Disable, Inhibit, and Restart Reasons
- Go to next step: If the component/system operates correctly
Verify the correct operation:Infotainment System State = Always On - During an autostart or autostop event
- If the component/system does not operate correctly
  Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the component/system operates correctly
All OK.
