Circuit/System Testing

    WARNING:

    Always perform the High Voltage Disabling procedure prior to servicing any High Voltage component or connection. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and proper procedures must be followed.

    The High Voltage Disabling procedure will perform the following tasks:

    • Identify how to disable high voltage.
    • Identify how to test for the presence of high voltage.
    • Identify condition under which high voltage is always present and personal protection equipment (PPE) and proper procedures must be followed.

    Failure to follow the procedures exactly as written may result in serious injury or death.

    NOTE:

    Perform Circuit/System Verification before Circuit/System Testing.

  1. Perform the High Voltage Disabling procedure for servicing the T6 Power Inverter Module or T12 Transmission.
  2. Disassemble the transmission to gain access to the applicable M15 Drive Motor. Refer to Drive Motor Removal - 2nd Position , and Drive Motor Removal - 1st Position .
  3. Inspect the M15 Drive Motor stator and the transmission for debris.
    • If debris is present 

      Replace the transmission assembly.

    • Go to next step: If debris is not present 
  4. Replace the applicable M15 Drive Motor Stator and verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC sets 
  5. Perform each of the operations listed below one at a time until the fault is corrected.
    1. Verify the T6 Power Inverter Module has the latest calibration in Calibration Information.
      • If the T6 Power Inverter Module does not have the latest calibration, program the T6 power inverter module.
      • Go to next step: If the T6 Power Inverter Module has the latest calibration
    2. Replace the T6 Power Inverter Module.
    3. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
    4. Repeat the DTC check.
    • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set 
  6. All OK.
