Circuit/System Verification

  1. Verify the following conditions do not exist:
    • Loose/Leaking - Charge Air Cooler Inlet Duct
    • Air Cleaner Element - Saturated with water/Restricted
    • Binding or Sticking - Q38 Throttle Body
    • Exhaust System - Missing components/Visible Damage
    • Leaking/Restricted - Turbocharger
    • Restrictions in the intake system.
    • If a condition exists 

      Repair or replace as necessary.

    • Go to next step: If no condition exists 
  2. Clear the DTCs.
  3. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  4. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Replace the component:Q14 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve

    • Go to next step: If no DTC is set 
  5. All OK.
