Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Brake Pedal Applied - On and Off

    Verify the scan tool parameter:Brake Pedal Applied = Active/Inactive

    • If the parameter state does not change 

      Refer to:Brake Pedal Position Sensor - Malfunction

    • Go to next step: If the parameter state changes 
  3. Scan Tool Device Control - Left Stop Lamp = On and Off

    Verify the component activates:Left Stop Lamp = On and Off

  4. Scan Tool Device Control - Right Stop Lamp = On and Off

    Verify the component activates:Right Stop Lamp = On and Off

    • If the component does not activate 

      Refer to:Stop Lamps - Malfunction

    • Go to next step: If the component activates 
  5. Scan Tool Device Control - Center High Mounted Stop Lamp Circuit - On and Off

    Verify the component activates:Center High Mounted Stop Lamp Circuit = On and Off

    • If the component does not activate 

      Refer to:Center High Mounted Stop Lamp Circuit - Malfunction

    • Go to next step: If the component activates 
  6. All OK.
