Circuit/System Testing

Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems - Off
Disconnect the electrical connector: @ E13 Headlamp Assembly
Test for less than 15 ohms between the test points:Ground circuit terminal 10 & Ground
- If 15 ohms or greater
1. Test for less than 2 ohms between the test points:Ground circuit terminal 10 @ E13 Headlamp Assembly & Ground terminal
  - If 2 ohms or greater - Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
  - If less than 2 ohms - Repair the open/high resistance in the ground connection.
- Go to next step: If less than 15 ohms
Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
Connect a test lamp between the test points:B+ circuit terminal 11 @ E13 Headlamp Assembly & Ground
- If the test lamp does not turn On
1. Ignition/Vehicle - Off & Remove - Test lamp
2. Disconnect the electrical connector:X5 @ X50A Fuse Block - Underhood
3. Test for infinite resistance between the test points:B+ circuit terminal F5X5 & Ground
  - If less than infinite resistance - Repair the short to ground on the circuit.
  - Go to next step: If infinite resistance
4. Test for less than 2 ohms between the test points:B+ circuit terminal F5X5 @ X50A Fuse Block - Underhood & B+ circuit terminal 11 @ E13 Headlamp Assembly
  - If 2 ohms or greater - Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
  - If less than 2 ohms - Replace the component:X50A Fuse Block - Underhood
- Go to next step: If the test lamp turns On
Test or replace the component:K28 Headlamp Leveling Control Module
Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
Verify operating the controls yields the expected results.
- If the component does not activate
- Test or replace the component:E13 Headlamp Assembly
- Go to next step: If all the components work properly
All OK.
