Installation Procedure

Apply a light coat of grease (1) on the inside of the ignition coil opening (2). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
Use the tip of the grease tube (1) to allot the grease onto the ignition coil (2).
- The measurement (a) of the grease tube tip (without thread) is equal to the measurement (b) of the ignition coil coating area.
Ignition Coil (2) - Install [4x]
- Ignition Coil Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] 10 N.m (89 lb in)
Ignition Coil Electrical Connector (1) - Connect [4x]
- Battery Negative Cable - Connect - Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (HP4)
- Intake Manifold Cover - Install Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
WARNING:
In order to avoid flying sparks and electric shorts, ONLY use the GM special grease (non electrically conducting) for the ignition coils. The usage of other grease could result in a fatal electric shock, fire and severe damage to the vehicle.
