Installation Procedure

Apply approximately a 5 mm (0.2 in) thick bead of camshaft cover sealant (2) between the cylinder head (1) and the engine front cover (3). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
Camshaft Cover Gasket (2) - Install a NEW gasket.
- Camshaft Cover (1) - Install
Camshaft Cover Bolt (2, 5, 6, 7, 9) - Install [16x] - Loosely install
- Camshaft Cover Stud (1, 3, 4, 8) - Install [8x] - Loosely install
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Tighten the camshaft cover bolts and studs in sequence as shown to 9 N.m (80 lb in)
O-Ring (3) - Install a NEW O-ring seal.
- Oil Level Indicator Tube (1) - Install
- Oil Level Indicator Tube Bolt (2) - Install and tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)
Oil Level Indicator (1) - Install
Engine Wiring Harness (4) - Move into position
- Engine Wiring Harness Retainer (3) - Install [5x]
- Engine Wiring Harness Ground Nut (2) - Install and tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)
- Engine Wiring Harness Bracket Nut (1) - Install and tighten [3x] 10 N.m (89 lb in)
