Intake Camshaft Removal

NOTE:
Mark the camshaft bearing caps before removal.

Loosen the 12 intake camshaft bearing cap bolts (1), working from outside to inside in a spiral in steps of 1/2 up to 1 turn. See sequence as shown.

Remove the 12 intake camshaft bearing cap bolts (3).
Remove the intake camshaft bearing front cap (2) from the cylinder head.
Remove the 5 intake camshaft bearing caps (4) from the cylinder head.
Remove the intake camshaft (1).
