Intake Camshaft Installation

Coat the intake camshaft (1) and the camshaft bearing caps with MoS 2 lubricating paste or engine oil. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .
Intake Camshaft (1) - Install
Ensure that the camshaft notch (5) at the front of the camshaft is in the 6 O ' clock position before installing the camshaft bearing caps.

NOTE:

Note the identification marking on the camshaft bearing caps.

Camshaft Bearing Cap (4) - Install [5x]
Camshaft Bearing Front Cap (2) - Install
Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolt (3) - Loosely install [12x]

CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .

Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolt (3) - tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)
