Engine Front Lower Cover Installation

- Clean the engine lower front cover sealing surfaces.
Apply approximately a 3 mm (0.12 in) thick bead of engine front cover sealant (1) to the engine lower front cover. In the marked areas the width has to be broadened to 4 mm (0.16 in) in order to prevent leakages. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers for the recommended sealant.
Install the engine lower front cover (1).
- CAUTION:
Install the 7 engine front cover M6 short bolts (4, 6) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install the 2 engine front cover M6 long bolts (2, 5) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install the engine front cover M8 bolt (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Install the engine front cover M10 bolt (3) and tighten to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).
