Installation Procedure

NOTE:
Do not engage the tensioner until all guides have been installed.

Timing Chain Tensioner Gasket (3) - Install
Timing Chain Tensioner (2) - Install
Timing Chain Tensioner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 25 N.m (18 lb ft)

CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .

Timing Chain Tensioner Shoe (2) - Install
Timing Chain Tensioner Shoe Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)
Engage the timing chain tensioner.

Inspect the timing chain marks to confirm they remained aligned after engaging the timing chain tensioner.
Using a suitable tool, rotate the crankshaft one complete engine cycle then verify the timing chain marks (1, 2 and 3) are aligned properly.
