Component Testing

- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Disconnect the electrical connector:S47D Seat Memory Switch - Driver
- Test for infinite resistance between the test points:Switch - All - Released
- Signal circuit terminal 5 & Low Reference circuit terminal 1
- Signal circuit terminal 6 & Low Reference circuit terminal 1
- If less than infinite resistance
Replace the component:S47D Seat Memory Switch - Driver
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 4 ohms between the test points:Signal circuit terminal 5 & Low Reference circuit terminal 1.
Seat Memory Set Switch = Pressed
- If 4 ohms or greater
Replace the component:S47D Seat Memory Switch - Driver
- Go to next step: If less than 4 ohms
- If 4 ohms or greater
- Test for 573 to 701 ohms between the test points:Signal circuit terminal 6 & Low Reference circuit terminal 1
Memory 1 Switch = Pressed
- If not between 573 and 701 ohms
Replace the component:S47D Seat Memory Switch - Driver
- Go to next step: If between 573 and 701 ohms
- If not between 573 and 701 ohms
- Test for 1800 to 2201 ohms between the test points:Signal circuit terminal 6 & Low Reference circuit terminal 1
Memory 2 Switch = Pressed
- If not between 1800 and 2201 ohms
Replace the component:S47D Seat Memory Switch - Driver
- Go to next step: If between 1800 and 2201 ohms
- If not between 1800 and 2201 ohms
- Test for 5.25 k to 6.73 kohms between the test points:Signal circuit terminal 6 & Low Reference circuit terminal 1
Seat Memory Exit Switch = Pressed
- If not between 5.52 k and 6.73 kohms
S47D Seat Memory Switch - Driver
- Go to next step: If between 5.52 k and 6.73 kohms
- If not between 5.52 k and 6.73 kohms
- All OK.
