Circuit/System Verification

  1. Engine - Idling
  2. Operate the component:Driver Seat Heating Switch - Select - On

    Verify the scan tool parameter:Driver Seat Heating/Venting/Cooling Mode@K9 Body Control Module = Seat Back and Cushion Heating

    • If not the specified state 

      Replace the component:A26 HVAC Controls

    • Go to next step: If the specified state 
  3. Operate the component:Passenger Seat Heating Switch - Select - On

    Verify the scan tool parameter:Passenger Seat Heating/Venting/Cooling Mode = Seat Back and Cushion Heating

    • If not the specified state 

      Replace the component:A26 HVAC Controls

    • Go to next step: If the specified state 
  4. Operate the component:
    • Driver Seat Heating - On
    • Passenger Seat Heating - On
    • Verify the component activates:
    • Driver Seat Back Heating
    • Driver Seat Cushion Heating
    • Passenger Seat Back Heating
    • Passenger Seat Cushion Heating
    • If none of the components operate 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing. - Test 1

    • Go to next step: If some, but not all, components operate 
  5. Operate the component:Driver Seat Heating - On

    Verify the component activates:

    • Driver Seat Back Heating
    • Driver Seat Cushion Heating
    • If none of the components operate 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing. - Test 2

    • If some, but not all, components operate 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing. - Test 3

    • Go to next step: If all components operate 
  6. Operate the component:Passenger Seat Heating - On

    Verify the component activates:

    • Passenger Seat Back Heating
    • Passenger Seat Cushion Heating
    • If none of the components operate 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing. - Test 4

    • If some, but not all, components operate 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing. - Test 5

    • Go to next step: If all components operate 
  7. Verify a condition does not exist with the component:Heated Seat = Performance - Degraded
    • If a condition exists 
    • {Driver Seat Heating}Refer to Circuit/System Testing. - Test 6
    • {Passenger Seat Heating}Refer to Circuit/System Testing. - Test 7
    • Go to next step: If no conditions exist 
  8. All OK.
