Circuit/System Description

Circuit Description
B+ - Terminal 7 X1@K29F Seat Heating Control Module - Front Supplied from a fuse.
B+ - Terminal 10 X1@K29F Seat Heating Control Module - Front Supplied from a fuse.
Signal - Driver Seat Cushion Temperature Sensor The control module input circuit has an internal resistance connected to 5 V.The input signal is used to control the following component:E14B Seat Heating Element - Driver Cushion
Signal - Driver Seat Back Temperature Sensor The control module input circuit has an internal resistance connected to 5 V.The input signal is used to control the following component:E14A Seat Heating Element - Driver Back
Signal - Passenger Seat Cushion Temperature Sensor The control module input circuit has an internal resistance connected to 5 V.The input signal is used to control the following component:E14D Seat Heating Element - Passenger Cushion
Signal - Passenger Seat Back Temperature Sensor The control module input circuit has an internal resistance connected to 5 V.The input signal is used to control the following component:E14C Seat Heating Element - Passenger Back
Low Reference - Seat Temperature Sensor Grounded through the control module.
Control - E14 Seat Heating Element The output circuit is switched to 12 V to activate the component.
Control - E14 Seat Heating Element The output circuit is switched to ground to activate the component.
Ground - K29F Seat Heating Control Module - Front Chassis Ground
Component Description
K9 Body Control Module Depending on the version, the control module can support different functions:Front Seat Heating/Venting/Cooling & Rear Seat Heating
The control module also reads various switches and sensors and makes their values available via serial data.

E14 Seat Heating Element The seats have 2 built-in resistor loops that heat the cushion and the seat back.
