Circuit/System Description

Circuit Description
B+ - Terminal 1 The output circuit is switched from ground to 12 V to activate the component.
Ground - Terminal 14 Grounded through the control module.
Component Description
K177 Brake Booster Control Module The K177 Brake Booster Control Module assembly contains the control module and motor.The control module K177 uses the analog input signal from the sensor B201 to determine the amount of boost pressure to apply.The control module K177 activates the motor to apply the boost pressure.
K17 Electronic Brake Control Module The control module K17 can increase and decrease the brake pressure on all 4 wheels individually in order to fulfill these functions:
  • Antilock Braking
  • Traction Control
  • Vehicle Stability Control

The control module K17 can also influence the following control modules to limit the amount of produced torque:
  • K20 Engine Control Module
  • K71 Transmission Control Module
