Garage Shifts

With engine running, foot on brake pedal, transmission oil temperature above 20°C (68°F):

  1. Shift from PARK to DRIVE, wait for gear engagement. (approximately 3 seconds).
  2. Shift back to PARK, wait 5 seconds.
  3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 twice (total of 3 PARK to DRIVE shifts).
  4. Shift from PARK to REVERSE, wait for gear engagement (approximately 3 seconds).
  5. Shift back to PARK, wait 5 seconds.
  6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 twice (total of 3 PARK to REVERSE shifts).
  7. Shift to NEUTRAL.
  8. Shift from NEUTRAL to DRIVE, wait for gear engagement (approximately 3 seconds).
  9. Shift back to NEUTRAL, wait 5 seconds.
  10. Repeat steps 8 & 9 twice (total of 3 NEUTRAL to DRIVE shifts).
  11. Shift from NEUTRAL to REVERSE, wait for gear engagement (approximately 3 seconds).
  12. Shift back to NEUTRAL, wait 5 seconds.
  13. Repeat steps 11 & 12 twice (total of 3 NEUTRAL to REVERSE shifts).
  14. Shift to DRIVE, wait 5 seconds.
  15. Shift from DRIVE to REVERSE, wait 5 seconds.
  16. Shift from REVERSE to DRIVE, wait 5 seconds.
  17. Repeat steps 15 & 16 twice (total of 3 DRIVE to REVERSE shifts and 3 REVERSE to DRIVE shifts).
