Assemble Procedure

Front Wheel Drive Shaft Boot Clamp (1) @ Front Wheel Drive Shaft Outer Joint Boot (2) Install NEW [2x]
- Front Wheel Drive Shaft Outer Joint Boot (2) @ Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft (3) - Install NEW
Joint Retaining Ring (1) @ Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft (2) - Install NEW
- Pack the front wheel drive shaft outer joint with approximately one half of the lubricant and fill the boot with the remaining lubricant. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
Front Wheel Drive Shaft Outer Joint (1) @ Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft (2) - Install by tapping in place using a block of wood positioned on the threaded end of the front wheel drive shaft outer joint and a hammer.
- Ensure that the front wheel drive shaft outer joint boot is properly seated in the grooves of the front wheel drive half shaft and the front wheel drive shaft outer joint.
- NOTE:
Ensure that the boot clamps are properly positioned around the entire circumference of the boot.
Using the DT-35910 Drive Axle Seal Clamp Pliers, or equivalent, compress both front wheel drive shaft boot clamps (1).
- Distribute the lubricant within the front wheel drive shaft outer joint by moving it in a circular motion at least four to five times.
- Remove the wheel drive shaft from the vise.
- Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft - Install - Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Left Side (MKE) Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Left Side (M3E) Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Left Side (MRG) , or Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Right Side (LTG) Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Right Side (LKN) Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Right Side (LFV)
