Removal Procedure

Brake Fluid Irritant Warning

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  3. GM4235921

    Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Disconnect

  4. Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  5. GM4235931

    Brake Hose Retainer (1) - Remove

  6. GM4213881

    Wheel Speed Sensor Harness Clip (1) @Front Brake Hose - Release [2x]

  7. GM4235929

    Brake Hose Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove

  8. GM4216968

    Brake Hose Fitting Bolt (1) - Remove

  9. GM4216970
    NOTE:

    Do NOT reuse the brake hose fitting gaskets.

    Brake Hose Fitting Gasket (1) @ Brake Hose Fitting (2) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]

  10. Plug the caliper inlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  11. Remove the brake hose.
