Removal Procedure

  1. Without disconnecting the hoses, remove and position aside the radiator surge tank. Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LTG)Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LFV)

    Power Brake Booster Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  3. Floor Front Air Outlet Duct - Left Side - Remove - Floor Front Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side
  4. GM5318210

    Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor Electrical Connector (1) - Disconnect

  5. Brake Pedal Position Sensor Electrical Connector (2) - Disconnect
  6. Wiring Harness Retainer (3) - Release (2x)

    Compress the brake pedal retainer (1) locking tabs.

    NOTE:

    Pull the brake pedal rearward to disconnect the retainer.

    Brake Pedal (1) - Disconnect

    Brake Pedal Retainer (1) - Remove and DISCARD

    Upper Intermediate Steering Shaft (3) - Remove - Upper Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement

    Steering Column (1) - Remove - Steering Column Replacement

    Brake and Accelerator Pedal Assembly Nut (1) - Remove

  13. GM4234253

    Brake and Accelerator Pedal Assembly Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  14. With the aid of an assistant, gently pull back on the brake booster assembly from the engine compartment to allow clearance for the brake and accelerator pedal assembly to be removed.

    Brake and Accelerator Pedal Assembly (1) - Remove

  16. Transfer components as necessary.
