Removal Procedure
WARNING:
Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .
CAUTION:
Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Caution .
- Using a suitable tool, remove and properly discard the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir.
- Disconnect the power brake booster vacuum sensor electrical connector.
Remove the power brake booster vacuum sensor (1) from the power vacuum brake booster and position aside.
- Disconnect the brake fluid level indicator switch electrical connector.
- Release the brake fluid level indicator switch harness from the clips on the master cylinder reservoir and position aside.
Remove the master cylinder reservoir bolt (1).
Lift the master cylinder reservoir (1) upward to release the reservoir from the reservoir seals and the master cylinder.
Remove the 2 master cylinder reservoir seals (1).
